A Bronx karate instructor accused of inappropriately touching a child has been charged by police.
Anthony Gonzalez, 37, has been charged with multiple offenses including forcible touching and sex abuse, police say.
He was walked out of the Bronx Child Advocacy Center in handcuffs Thursday night.
Gonzalez, an instructor at the USA Martial Arts Fitness Academy on Prospect Avenue, is accused of inappropriately touching a 7-year-old girl during one of his classes.
Investigators say the child asked Gonzalez if she could get a drink of water and when the two were alone, Gonzalez pulled down her pants and touched her genitals.
The girl went home and told her mother what happened and her mother called police.
Gonzalez was charged with sexual abuse for someone under 11 years old, forcible touching, acting in manner injurious to a child, a misdemeanor charge of sexual abuse and sexual contact with a child.
Police say there could be other victims involved who have not come forward yet.
