Residents in the Bronx celebrated Christmas Mass Monday.
Congregants gathered at the St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Throgs Neck.
Church officials say they can easily see around 1,000 worshipers in a 24-hour span during Christmas.
Services begin as early as midnight and continued throughout Christmas Day.
