Bronx residents have been digging out after a historic blizzard over the weekend.
City officials are urging residents to refrain from shoveling snow into roadways and sidewalks so as to not undo the work of the city's sanitation department.
However, city officials say placing discarded shoveled snow close to the curb is OK.
Forecasters predict warmer weather later in the week, and Mayor Bill de Blasio says New Yorkers should let Mother Nature do its work.
The mayor says the warmer temperatures should melt a majority of the snow and free cars that are trapped on the sidewalk.
