Bronx safety officer faces child assault charges
A safety officer is accused of assaulting a juvenile resident at a detention facility in the Bronx.
Police say Gregory Hyman, 60, was charged with assault in the beating of a 15-year-old resident at the Sheltering Arms detention facility in Kingsbridge. 
He was arrested on Aug. 18 and is now facing charges for the incident, which allegedly happened Jan. 5, 2015.
Hyman is accused of hitting the teen and pushing him into a radiator before choking him.
