Bronx students may forgo transportation for International Walk to School Day
Students all across the world may forgo their usual transportation as part of International Walk to School Day.
The global event began in 1997, encouraging people from more than 40 countries to walk or bike to school on the same day. It eventually evolved into a movement urging year-round safe routes to school.
By participating, you'll also get some physical activity and help the environment by reducing congestion and air pollution.
International Walk to School Day happens in the month of October every year.
