Ten schools in the Bronx collaborated to raise social injustice awareness through artistic creativity.
The students painted 10 new benches that were placed Mullally Park in Concourse – each have their own message.
As part of the Center for Educational Innovation's summer exhibition, students were given the artistic freedom to speak out on topics such as gun violence, drug abuse, bullying, mental health, immigration and LGBTQ rights.
There are now 30 benches in the Five Boroughs displaying social messages. They will be on display until mid-September.
