Two Bronx teenagers are being hailed as Good Samaritans after they returned a wallet containing more than $1,000.

A woman dropped her wallet on a street and the teens found it with $1,600 inside. Faced with the choice of keeping or returning the cash, the decision was simple for the friends.

One of the teens drove with another friend to New Jersey from the South Bronx to return the wallet.

"It was the right thing to do," said Bernice Boateng, 18. Still, she said she wouldn't necessarily encourage everyone to go to someone's house.

"I felt like I should do the right thing because what if that person needs that money?" said Isaac Muniz, 16.

The principal at Validus Preparatory Academy said the friends didn't want any attention, but the students changed their minds when they were told that their actions may influence others to do the right thing.
