Ahead of Veterans Day, the Bronx celebrated the holiday with a parade Saturday.
The fourth annual Bronx Veterans Parade marched through West Farms to Old West Farms Soldiers' Cemetery, with dozens of veterans coming together to show support for one another and acknowledge their service.
Local ROTC bands were also on hand to honor the men and women who served in the armed forces.
The parade, organized by the Bronx Veterans Parade Task Team, aims to bring awareness to veterans in the boroughs.
Organizers say it is all about community and support.
"We are from the Bronx, most of us, we lost a lot of good brothers in Vietnam from the Bronx so we have to pay our respects through the Bronx. This is our home," says Sgt, Israel Lugo George, a Vietnam veteran.
Organizers say they hope they can keep growing the parade in the future to get more veterans involved.
