The United Federation of Teachers has confirmed that there is a bug infestation in an M.S. 424 classroom.
The infested classroom is room 241, which students say is their technology lab.
The classroom was not being used during the extermination.
Students have told News 12 that the issue exists beyond room 241 and that an exterminator has visited three times since the summer.
Students say they have also seen bugs in the cafeteria and dead bugs on the walls.
The city's Department of Education says the classroom was inspected Thursday and is cleared of any insects.
