A coach bus was devoured by flames on the New York State Thruway late Sunday night.
Police say the flames broke out around midnight near exit 13 right near the Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge.
They say that the bus was being towed at the time, and no one was on board. The tow truck driver was able to get the burning bus off the bridge and onto the shoulder near the New York State Police trooper barracks.
It took firefighters nearly two hours to put the flames out.
No injuries have been reported.
There is no word yet on what caused the bus to catch fire.
