Bus stop runs through former parking spots in Co-op City
Parking spaces recently converted into a bus stop are causing drivers to lose both their nerve and the money inside their wallets in Co-op City.
The new bus stop was added last year to Asch Loop and Alder Place under an MTA improvement plan to provide more bus service throughout the Co-op City complex.
However, residents say that when the new bus stop was installed, the old white parking spot lines were never removed.
Residents who live in the building say people who do not know about the bus stop and end up parking are left with a $115 parking violation.
There is a sign for the bus stop but residents say it's hard to see at night.
News 12 has reached out to the Department of Transportation and is waiting to hear back.
