Butterfly sanctuary attracts Bronx botanists
Two acres of green land hidden in Van Nest are bringing together Bronx residents looking for a little nature amid the hustle and bustle of city life.
Drew Gardens is a butterfly oasis, a vegetable garden, a compost space and much more.
Long-time gardeners and anyone interested in learning how to farm are invited to join the community of botanists and spend some time with Mother Nature.
Drew Gardens is open to the public year-round but with winter weather coming, the greenery and butterflies are best enjoyed until the end of November.
