Castle Hill students march against breast cancer
A group of Castle Hill girls marched at Orchard Beach Monday to fight breast cancer.
The students from the Women's Academy of Excellence participated in the 11th annual walk to help educate younger girls about the disease.
The federal government says more than 230,000 women were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013. More than 40,000 died. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, regardless of race or ethnicity.
Principal Arnette Crocker says the idea behind the march is that increased awareness will lead women to identify breast cancer symptoms early on.
