Caught on video: Woman stabbed while walking with child on Sedgwick Avenue

A woman was stabbed while pushing a stroller down Sedgwick Avenue Tuesday night, and neighbors claim the suspect who attacked her was her boyfriend.

A woman was stabbed while pushing a stroller down Sedgwick Avenue Tuesday night, and neighbors claim the suspect who attacked her was her boyfriend. 
The incident happened just after 7 p.m. 
Surveillance video shows a man and woman walking down the street together when things quickly take a violent turn. In the surveillance video, the man is seen grabbing the woman and stabbing her, and she is later thrown to the ground with the man running off. 
The woman is seen moving around after the attack and reaching out to comfort the baby in the stroller.
Neighbors tell News 12 the man and woman have lived there their whole lives and that the neighborhood is usually quiet.
They say they were pretty shaken up by the violent incident.
“I was coming from the store and saw the police coming up and next thing you know one of my neighbors told me a woman had been stabbed... One of the police cars was following trying to catch him,” a neighbor tells News 12
Fire officials tell News 12 the woman was taken to Montefiore Medical Center for treatment.
