A mother and father from Central Islip were arrested for allegedly leaving their 13-month-old baby alone in a car while they went shopping.

A mother and father from Central Islip were arrested for allegedly leaving their 13-month-old baby alone in a car while they went shopping.
Police say it happened in the parking lot of Target on Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore Saturday afternoon.
News 12 was told officers received a 911 call that a baby was left in a vehicle that was off. The temperature outside at the time was between 22 and 25 degrees.
Police arrived around 4:20 pm and found the baby, which they say did not seem to be in distress.
The parents came back to the car 10 minutes after police arrived. After an investigation, the parents were arrested.
Police say Paul Albinagorta and Natalia Pascual were charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
The parents are scheduled to be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip.
Child protective services has been notified and the baby is staying with a family member.
