Central Park Boathouse returns this summer under new owners, improvements

The Central Park Boathouse is coming back to life this summer in 2023.
The iconic restaurant known for its scenic views and rental boats closed last year for financial reasons. Mayor Eric Adams says the restaurant has always been an iconic part of the New York City identity.

The boathouse has new owners and will return with improvements and a new menu, as well as 200 union jobs.
In addition to some general upgrades and renovations, the new owners plan to expand the boat rental service too.
