A Bedford Park nonprofit that helps the impoverished become self-sufficient is expanding its focus on job placement, according to officials.
Part of the Solution takes in the starving and the homeless and provides food, clothing and case management services.
While unemployment has sharply declined in recent years, the Bronx still holds the highest rate out of all 62 counties in New York state, officials say.
Executive director Christopher A. Bean says the workforce program should launch by 2017.
