Church service honors MLK legacy
Some Bronx residents honored the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at a special service at Trinity Baptist Church in Williamsbridge.
Hundreds filled the church to hear the words of Pastor Naomi Tyler Lloyd.
The pews filled with residents and local leaders who say they would never be where they are today without King's work.
One message the pastor says she wants people to receive is that of hope. She says hope is "especially important during a time where we as a country have come so far, but still have so far to go."
Parishioners told News 12 they feel rejuvenated after attending the annual service honoring King.
