Mayor Bill de Blasio's administration announced the launch of the IDNYC renewal campaign on Tuesday.
The campaign comes with plenty of new benefits, including an ID card for middle schoolers. Since its launch in Jan. 2015, the campaign has offered New Yorkers enormous benefits and access to various city services.
The campaign has a total savings for cardholders coming in at over $55 million. Beginning Dec. 2, cardholders will be able to renew their cards through a new online portal.
Residents should be on the lookout for the new ID cards in 2020.
