City Island restaurant busy for Valentine’s rush
The frigid weather didn't ruin Valentine's Day plans in City Island.
The manager at Sea Shore Restaurant and Marina told News 12 the view of the water is a big draw for people looking to have a warm meal, even if some of that water has turned to ice.
With temperatures in the single digits, the restaurant's parking attendant says he dressed in several layers to brave the cold.
At the City Island Lobster House, manager John Mandarino says that good food can bring anyone out in freezing temperatures.
"City Island is known for their fish," he says. "People come from all over, all the boroughs."
