Mayor Eric Adams is leading a rally Monday afternoon on the steps of City Hall in support of his City of Yes for Housing Opportunity plan.
Officials say decades-old zoning codes restrict the affordable housing supply, and the City of Yes reform proposal will modify and modernize those codes to help build more housing in every neighborhood.
The proposal is currently under review and awaiting a vote by the City Council.
