The city has reached a settlement after a Bronx man accused several NYPD officers of beating him in January 2012.

Jateik Reed, who was 19 years old at the time, was walking to a friend's house on 168th Street when the incident occurred. The ordeal was filmed by a friend of Reed's.

Reed was arrested on several charges that wound up being dropped. His mother even faced charges at one point after being arrested outside the 42nd Precinct, where she says she was trying to get more details about her son's case. Those charges were also dropped.

The city settled the case for more than $614,000.

Reed and his mother say they still want justice and have called for the officers involved to be fired.

A spokesperson for the city's Law Department tells News 12 that "settling this case was in the best interests of the city."
