Clinton Hill innovation hub offers space for all creatives

A lack of spaces for creatives to do their work led to the creation of an innovation hub in Clinton Hill.
Goldie Harrison, the CEO of 24OURS, wanted to create a space for creatives of color. The idea for 24OURS grew out of her own experience trying to find event space.
"I've been denied events, like, 'Yeah, your events are too urban,' or you're being treated a certain way because it's a hip-hop crowd," Harrison says.
The Grand Avenue space is open for content production, small meetings and pop-ups.
Business owners say the space is different than others because it is a welcoming environment that allows people to shift the layout around to make it look as they want it to.
The space also offers rates at almost 30 percent less than others.
"Being in New York City, this isn't a cheap place to live, and so to be able to create is an investment in itself," says 24OURS COO Queen Thelemaque.
