New Jerseyans faced a slick and slippery evening commute home Monday after a passing storm left parts of the state covered in ice.
The storm brought a wintry mix of ice, rain and a little bit of snow. New Jersey’s roadways had some icy conditions, but little to no snow accumulated in the state.
A winter weather advisory was put into place for most of the state Monday afternoon.
The storm comes as New Jersey continues to see temperatures below the freezing mark. Temperatures have not been above 32 degrees since Christmas.
Warmer weather is expected to reach New Jersey by the middle of the week.
