Comptroller Stringer: $3.7M owed to city workers
More than 1,000 New York City workers are owed millions of dollars in unclaimed wages, according to city Comptroller Scott Stringer.
The findings are the result of wage settlements with contractors who did work with the city.
Stringer says workers are owed $3.7 million in total. The money was collected over the past 10 years.
According to the comptroller, 160 of the workers are from the Bronx. They are owed almost $325,000.
Stringer's office has a list of all identified workers owed money. It is available on the office's website.
