Con Ed begins replacing outdated gas pipes in Morris Park
Con Edision has begun a construction project to replace old gas pipes in Morris Park.
Construction is taking place between Williamsbridge Road and Tomilson Avenue, and between Morris Park and Van Nest avenues.
The construction will take place during the week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Officials say neighbors can expect loud noise in the area, which spans about two blocks.
The project hopes to replace older existing gas piping with new plastic piping.
Officials with the utility company say the project is expected to continue through the middle of September.
