Concourse Plaza cinema reopens after disinfection
Health officials say they are gaining ground in the fight against Legionnaires' disease amid the outbreak that has killed 12 people.
The cooling towers at Concourse Plaza, one of the first sites to test positive for legionella bacteria, were quickly decontaminated.
The area quickly returned to business as usual -- except for the movie theater, which remained closed for additional testing.
It finally reopened over the weekend after a spokesperson confirmed that the cooling tower no longer poses a health risk.
State and city officials have deployed mobile command centers as testing continues in other water towers throughout the city.
