The steps leading in and out of Williamsbridge Oval Park in Norwood have crumbled to pieces.
Nearby residents and other parkgoers say the situation is hazardous, especially since the neighborhood is growing and the park will likely see increased use.
It's unclear whether the damage is the result of vandalism or if the concrete broke apart on its own.
Officials say the damage occurred about a week ago.
The city Parks Department says it is aware of the problem, but has not yet set a timetable on when repairs will begin.
