Conjoined twins separated by the head on track for recovery
The mother of conjoined twins that were separated at Montefiore Medical Center last month says the boys are "doing better than expected."
Nicole McDonald, mother of Anias and Jadon, posted on her Facebook that the boys are beginning to move around.
"Jadon is nothing short of a miracle," McDonald posted. " He is almost fully recovered after some complications."
She said Anias had a tougher time but is starting to use his hands more. She also said that medication has helped control his seizures.
McDonald said the twins will soon move to a nearby rehab hospital. She said she is thankful for the doctors and nurses at Montefiore Hospital.
