The Crotona Park mother of an infant who died after being found unconscious in a tub in July has been arrested in connection to the baby's death.

Police say 23-year-old Emily Ramierez faces a series of charges, including criminally negligent homicide.

Her 8-month-old daughter, Amelia Belle Perez, was found unconscious in a bathtub at the family's apartment July 3.

Ramierez stepped away while giving her daughter a bath and came back to find the baby in the water, according to police. She died almost two weeks later.
