A 9-year-old Sound Beach girl is making holiday wishes come true for needy children, all to honor the memory of her hero father.
Staff Sgt. Louis Bonacasa, of Coram, was killed in a suicide bomb attack in Afghanistan four years ago this weekend.
Lily Bonacasa founded Lily's Toy House in his honor -- to provide Christmas presents for children in need.
She says it's her way of keeping her father's giving spirit alive.
"I just wanted to do this because of my dad," says Lily. "He did a lot of nice things, and said a lot of nice things. So I want to do the same thing. It's kind of my job."
Several veterans groups helped Lily by organizing toy drives on Long Island and upstate New York.
