Doctors are urging anyone who has not received a flu shot to get vaccinated as cases of flu continue to rise.
According to the state Department of Health, cases of the flu increased by more than 70 percent in the week before Christmas.
In the Bronx, that number is closer to 80 with 288 cases reported in the borough between Dec. 15 and Dec. 22, alone.
Dr. Judith Berger, of St. Barnabas Hospital, predicts flu season will run through April.
