Donations pay for entire school to see 'Captain Marvel'
The newly formed marketing club at Mount St. Ursula Academy is making some history this Women's History Month.
The club wanted every girl in the school to see "Captain Marvel," the movie about the female superhero taking the world by storm. So they created a GoFundMe to spread the word and get donations.
But students then reached out to alumni and supporters of the school, and the link for donations kept being shared.
The school's $10,000 goal was reached with help from a $2,000 donation from actress Eva Longoria.
Next Tuesday, staff and students will all see the movie, with tickets, transportation and lunch all paid for.
