Residents in more than two dozen public housing facilities are living without heat and hot water in their homes.
The New York City Housing Authority building at 125 Palmetto St. in Brooklyn has been having an issue with a pipe that started Wednesday morning just before the nor'easter, according to officials.
Tenants say they do not have hot water, and some have been without heat since January.
Tenants say they have space heaters and lots of blankets, but it's especially difficult to stay warm when it is so wet and cold outside.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo has toured numerous NYCHA facilities around the five boroughs, and is expected to make an announcement about fixing housing issues over the coming days.
