Entrepreneurs create logos for each borough
Two entrepreneurs created a Brooklyn-based retail company as a way to give a face to each borough.
Charles Andrews and Sean Russell, owners of True Survivor, started making hoodies and T-shirts with a Brooklyn bear logo, and subsequently a Bronx gorilla.
"This is a map of the Bronx, and we actually turn the Bronx into a gorilla because a gorilla is one of the most powerful animals in the jungle, and that's what we feel about the grit of the Bronx," says Andrews.
The company also created a bumble bee to represent Queens, a turtle for Staten Island and a shark for Manhattan.
