A former NYPD officer has admitted to fatally shooting his wife in front of the couple's young children in their Queens home.
According to the Daily News, 44-year-old Kevin Canty pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the April 2013 incident.
Authorities say it was sparked by his disbelief that she has having an affair.
Canty retired from the force in 2012.
His admission means their children will no longer have to testify at the trial.
