A Bronx family says they have been living with a damaged bathroom for over a year, and they say NYCHA hasn't done much to help.

Jesusa Colon says that NYCHA made some repairs to the bathroom last year to fix a leak, but never came back to finish the repair.

Colon and her family are currently showering with a plastic sheet on the wall that is growing mold.

There is also a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom.

A NYCHA spokesperson said that the agency had dispatched staff to the apartment on Sunday "to fully assess the situation and schedule the necessary repairs to address the issues." The spokesperson added that they will follow up when there is more information, and they apologize for the impact it has had on the resident.
