The family of a New York man killed in a hit-and-run on Interstate 84 in Danbury is offering $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
Daniel Crawford Jr., 32, died around 1 a.m. on April 7, when a driver slammed into him on I-84 and drove off. Police say his car had broken down, and he had pulled over on the right shoulder of the westbound lane.
His father calls the incident a "senseless act" and says the fact that no one has come forward adds to his family's pain.
"You always have that stigma on top of the loss," says Daniel Crawford Sr.
He says his son liked to spend time outdoors, especially fishing for bass. And, he says, his son was thoughtful and generous.
"Mother's Day just passed, and that broke his mother's heart," Crawford says.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Connecticut State Police in Southbury at 203-267-2200.
