A famous hat made a stop at a Bronx staple on Friday.
A hat worn by character Ed Norton, played by Art Carney, on the classic show "The Honeymooners" was spotted at Gino's Pastry Shop in Belmont.
The hat was brought to the shop by Art Carney's son, Brian Carney.
"People very often ask me why I don't have the hat in the Smithsonian or something. I get so much joy out of seeing people put this hat on and they just change completely they kind of get sort of, 'Oh my god,' you know," said Brian Carney.
Brian Carney says he brought it by the shop because the owner, Jerome Raguso, is a huge fan of the TV show. In fact, Raguso has a special tradition on New Year's Day.
"I invited all my customers to come and watch 'The Honeymooners' at Gino's Pastry shop and they came," said Raguso. He says one of the customers actually knew Brian Carney, and that the rest was history.
Raguso even made some changes to the menu. "Today it is going to be Art Carney national car-nnoli day," said Raguso.
Fans were also there as well to celebrate the show that has been loved for years.
"It was simple, it was clean, it was funny," said Brian Carney.
