The FDNY says they were called to Netherland Avenue Monday afternoon for a possible drowning.
The building has rental apartments and a pool.
Authorities say one person was taken to Montefiore Medical Center, where they are in critical condition.
News 12 reached out to building management who said the pool is run by the Club of Riverdale.
Multiple residents say they've never heard of any issues at the pool and that it always seems safe.
"I can't believe it because it's usually well-supervised, the pool," says Gloria Crouch.
News 12 reached out to the Club or Riverdale and is waiting to hear back.
