yesterdayMarch is Women’s History Month, and a panel of ‘female firsts’ held a conversation at Hostos Community College to empower the next generation.
These female firsts come from all walks of life, from the first women’s presidents of the Bronx and Hostos to the first female New York City Council Speaker.
The conversations focused on the resistance, persistence, and courage that women have to keep with them at work and at home. The Hostos student body is over 70% female, and these women shared their wisdom with the students to inspire the next wave of history-makers.
