A family is left devastated after their Norwood business of 15 years was destroyed by a massive fire early Thursday morning.
The fire broke out inside a restaurant on Dekalb Avenue and East Gun Hill Road around 1:20 a.m.
According to officials, flames sparked inside D’migos Restaurant Bar and Grill and spread to the neighboring beauty shop.
At the scene the situation turned confrontational between the owners of the beauty store and the property owner.
"I've been here for 15 years and I never, never had a problem. Then the restaurant opens and every day they're drinking; don't care and I told him to be careful,” says the beauty store owner. "I actually smelled it and I got worried that it was coming from my building, and I stayed up for a while and I checked the hallway that's how powerful that smell was.”
The owners of the beauty shop are pointing fingers at the property owner.
Fire marshals are still investigating the cause of the fire.
