Flames erupted from a sixth-floor apartment along the Pelham Parkway in Allerton.
Authorities say the fire started just before 3 p.m. Wednesday at 2245 Bronxwood Ave. It was contained about a half-hour later.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
