According to officials, the crash happened at Franklin and India streets in Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighborhood on Saturday around 5:30 p.m.
Kapur died at NYC Health + Hospitals Bellevue, according to CBS2. She was 26.
Kapur worked at News 12 Connecticut from 2017 to 2019. News 12 staff members are remembering Kapur for her incredible work ethic, as well as her sense of humor and smile.

Ken Kienzle, also a photojournalist with News 12, echoed Golias.
"She always lit up the room when she walked in," said Kienzle.
The NYPD says a 26-year-old man was driving a Revel moped with Kapur as a passenger and did a hard brake, throwing them both onto the road.
Police say the driver suffered minor injuries.
"She was hardworking and driven, but also just so fun," said News 12 reporter Marissa Alter.
After leaving News 12, Kapur went to WCBS in New York City to be a reporter.
She will be deeply missed.
