Group demands handicap access at busy subway stop
The South Bronx Community Congress is calling on the MTA to provide handicap access to a busy subway stop in the borough.
The group has taken to its Facebook page to demand an elevator at the station on 149th Street and the Grand Concourse, which has three sets of staircases that commuters must climb or descend.
The issue will be brought up during a public MTA hearing on fare hikes at Hostos Community College.
