In an effort to keep people healthy during the coronavirus outbreak, fitness facilities say they are stepping up cleaning measures to reassure members they are safe to workout.

Catching the coronavirus is a fear which is keeping some people from their daily activities, like going to the gym.

However, Carlos Hugo, of Blink Fitness in Riverdale, says facilities are taking extra steps to ensure their facilities are properly sanitized.
"We're cleaning extra, we are making sure we are wiping down more of the stuff extra and instead of every hour, we are doing every 15 minutes, every 30 minutes," says Hugo.
Maggie Bach, the Senior Operations Manager of Blink, says if members are still unsure about visiting gyms, they can try different methods to workout at home, such as using the gym's mobile app.

"We are giving them everything they need in the gym to stay safe, but then we are also giving them all the supplies they need to be at the home working out," says Bach. "…we have a ton of content on our app to help you stay well rounded and healthy."

Some gyms are also providing hand wash and sanitizer for their members, as well as keeping them informed about their wellness.
