Tenants living at 2622 Harding Ave. say they are worried that their complex will be the next victim of gentrification.
The tenants say many buildings in their neighborhood are being gentrified. They say the property manager has tried charging rent-stabilized tenants for services that were once free. In addition, they say repairs to their homes have been lackluster.
News 12 was invited into some of the apartments and found loose handrails and chipped paint.
One wheelchair-bound resident says there is a laundry room that's not accessible. Another tenant says there's a community garden that is locked up and can only be used by the super.
News 12 has reached out to the building management three times.
