Bronx drivers were warned to anticipate flooding on low-lying streets after downpours overnight Sunday into Monday.
One Soundview resident who lives near Underhill Avenue between Story and Lafayette avenues says that when it rains, it almost looks like a lake in the middle of the road. Drivers in the area had to pump their brakes because of how deep the puddle was. Neighbors say they want the road fixed so it can properly drain.
Periods of overnight rain are expected to last throughout Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to rise later this week, starting with a high of 69 degrees on Wednesday.
