Starting next month, motorists will no longer be able to pay the Henry Hudson Bridge's toll with cash.

Drivers crossing the bridge on or after Nov. 10 will have to pay with E-ZPass or get a bill in the mail. If the driver does not have an E-ZPass, the new electronic system will take a photo of their license plate and mail the bill to the car's registered address.

The MTA bridge and tunnel officers currently working at the bridge will be moved to jobs at other crossings. The Henry Hudson Bridge is the first of the MTA's seven bridges and two tunnels that will stop accepting cash.

The change will affect the 65,000 vehicles that cross the bridge every day. MTA officials say the cost of the toll will remain the same.
