Just ahead of Father’s Day on Sunday, some Bronx dads and their kids got to celebrate their bond with a special block party.
The Hero Dad’s Party was put on by Montefiore Medical Center and organizers say the goal is to assist father’s who don’t live with their children to learn about parenting while gaining communication and job skills that promote healthy, resilient and open attitudes toward parenting.
The Hero Dads program is a federally funded program that is run by Montefiore in partnership with Bronx works.
